Virtual Students and Learning Opportunities

To be a "Distance Education Student" means that the student has access to assignments and sends projects to the instructor (and each other) over the Internet using Blackboard, the same delivery method used by the Vermont and New Hampshire college systems.

Our "Virtual Classroom" can be accessed from any computer with Internet access. Students attending a sending school (other than Springfield High School) can elect to participate in the program from their sending school location.

This means that instead of traveling to RVTC everyday, students can login to the classroom without leaving their home school. Each class session, the instructor will chat with the entire class to cover new material, answer questions, and assist students with their projects.

Students meet with the instructor everyday online, and are visited at their school by the instructor during a free period as needed; Students also come to the Center several times a year to participate in an "all day session".

If you wish to learn more about having your students participate online in our program, just call and arrange a time to talk with the instructor. We will be happy to take you through the online classroom and show you around.

If a student can chat, he/she can be a "Virtual Student"!
