Are you a freshman or sophomore considering technical education but not quite sure what program is best for you? Why not try them all? The Pre-Technical Studies program gives you time to explore each program over the course of the year. Spend part of your week in the program and the other time in the classroom focusing on the related math and English skills. And you’ll earn three credits for just one class!

YEAR ONE: Pre-Technical Studies
Credit: 1 English, 1 math, 1-2 elective credits
Eligibility: Students in grades 9 and 10
Prerequisites: Counselor recommendation
Schedule: Full year; 2 hours per day

With everything from computers to culinary arts, you’ll discover a vast array of career opportunities over the school year. You’ll identify personal interests and strengths you didn’t realize you had! At the end of the program, you can choose the RVTC program that interests you most and begin the next year with a head start!
